The The National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) Exam is prepared by the National Council of State Board of Nursing (NCSBN). It is a test of minimum competency and is based on the knowledge and behaviors that are needed for the entry-level practice of nursing.

NCLEX-RN Requirements (without ATT)

Application Forms

  1. School Forms
    • OTR
    • RLE Certificate
      • The candidate for NCLEX-RN must return to their alma mater for the completion of school forms.
  2. Individual Forms
    • 2 by 2 picture/passport size picture
    • Bankdraft (initial processing fee PAYABLE TO THE STATE BOARD OF NURSING)
      • 126 U.S. dollars (California); other states have different fees
    • Fingerprint Card
  3. PRC Forms
    • Some States require the NCLEX-RN candidate to file a completed form at PRC.

Registration Fee at Pearsonvue's Website

  1. This fee (200 U.S. dollars) is paid after receiving the candidate’s eligibility (through credit card).
  2. Waiting period for eligibility is from 1 month to 6 months. It can even be less than a month depending on the evaluation of requirements by the Board of Nursing.
  3. Expiration date of eligibility varies per State.

Scheduling of Exam (PAYABLE TO THE STATE BOARD OF NURSING) through pearsonvue (or the candidate will call for appointment).

  1. This fee (150 U.S. dollars) is paid through credit card to receive your ATT.
    • ATT can be received in few minutes/seconds through e-mail.
    • Expiration date of ATT varies per state.

Passport

  1. Proof of ID during the NCLEX-RN Exam.

Brainstorm NCLEX-RN Interactive Review 2010

Course Overview

This course was developed by Brainstorm NCLEX-RN Nurse Educators to help candidates prepare to take the actual NCLEX-RN examination. The course provides both an interactive comprehensive content review and "NCLEX-style" questions for practice. The contents consist of an Orientation, Introduction, Diagnostic Pretest, Intensive Course Sections, Post-tests, Question and Answer Banks, and Interactive Exercises.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, the learner will:

  1. Become knowledgeable with the "NCLEX-style" of items by taking the pretest, Intensive Course Sections, Interactive Exercises and the questions in the question and answer test banks.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of key aspects of each test plan category by completing the tests with 100% accuracy.
  3. Increase confidence by: completing the lessons, tests and exercises; utilizing relaxation techniques provided throughout the content; and by consulting the Nurse Educators to gain and give moral support to others taking the course.

Logistics

Review Course type: This course is asynchronous, self-paced and unlimited as mediated by Nurse Educator/s. The Nurse Educators are available to answer learner questions throughout the review.

Time, Schedule and Fees: Learners start the course anytime, directly, and have immediate access to the course materials for the entire Interactive NCLEX-RN Review Period depending on the enrolled length purchased.
